This is my absolute favorite craft cocktail to make! It is always a crowd pleaser and is perfect for smaller dinner parties, so you can customize the spice level to each person’s liking. The strawberry basil infused vodka paired with the muddled jalapeños create a delicious sweetness with a little kick that is sure to get everyone asking for more!
I particularly like making these for date nights at home. They are the perfect cocktail to enjoy while sitting on the patio enjoying the Dallas skyline or just enjoying the cool breeze.
The base of this cocktail is jalapeño and lime, however, you can sweeten it up by using a strawberry basil infused vodka (my personal favorite!) rather than plain vodka. Or if you really want to bring an extra kick to your cocktail, you can use a jalapeño infused vodka!
Start by choosing your vodka. Muddle two slices of jalapeños in your glass. Then add 1 slice of the habanero and 1 slice of the fresno pepper (do not muddle these!). Add 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of simple syrup, 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice, and 1 ounce of sprite. Stir slightly. Garnish with a jalapeño slice and enjoy!!
- 1 jalapeño, sliced and divided
- 1 slice habanero pepper, thin
- 1 slice fresno pepper, thin
- 2 oz. vodka or infused vodka
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 2 oz. lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 oz. sprite
- Muddle two slices of jalapeños in your glass.
- Add 1 slice of the habanero and 1 slice of the fresno pepper (do not muddle these!).
- Add 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of simple syrup, 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice, and 1 ounce of sprite.
- Stir slightly. Garnish with a jalapeño slice and enjoy!
Note:
I recently made this for our Summer Soireé that my roommates and I hosted, and while it was still delicious, it is tricky to make in large quantities. I highly recommend only making these for smaller groups or date night when you can carefully craft each one specially.
